Leaving Nairobi after breakfast at around 07:30, you journey to Kenya's verdant highlands and descend the rift escarpment on a route built by Italian prisoners of war during WWII. On the route, look for the lovely chapel built at the foot of the cliff. As you travel across the valley to Narok, you will pass the majestic Longonot Earth satellite station; continue through acres of wheat and barley before arriving in the Masai Mara in time for lunch. Following lunch, embark on your first game drive, returning to the lodge as the sun sets. Dinner and stay at Mara camp or lodge.

DAY 3
(June 21, 2025) MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE (B, L, D)
One whole day spent in the Mara Triangle Reserve, including morning and afternoon wildlife drives. Elephants and buffalo flourish in the riverine woodlands, while Impala and Thompson's gazelle can be spotted in the grasslands alongside their predators, which include lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and jackals. The Mara is the northernmost portion of the Serengeti ecosystem, and it is home to massive herds of migratory wildebeest and zebra from July to October. Lesser-known species like topi, hartebeest, waterbuck eland, and numerous other mammals paint a kaleidoscope panorama of wildlife. Sentrim Mara Lodge will serve all meals and accommodate overnight stays.
-

(June 22, 2025) MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE/LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK (B, L, D)
After breakfast, leave the Masai Mara and travel through Kenya's 'breadbasket', where acres of wheat and barley litter the landscape as you head north to Narok, the district headquarters for this area of Maasailand. Now travel across the huge plains on the Rift Valley level, keeping an eye out for herds of giraffes and gazelles as you ascend the Mai-Mahiu to Lake Nakuru about lunchtime. View game on your way to the lodge once you've arrived at the park or conservancy. Following lunch and a nap, there will be an afternoon game drive back to the resort as the sun sets. The national park, famed for its birds, provides an opportunity to see flamingos. It also has black and white rhinos, as well as the endangered Rothschild giraffe. Dinner and sleep at Lake Elementaita.
